The App does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, usage data, identifiers, or diagnostics. There is nothing to opt in or out of, because nothing is gathered in the first place.
The App works entirely offline. All content — the 64 hexagrams, stories, readings, sounds, and video backgrounds — is bundled inside the App. It makes no network requests.
The App reads the device accelerometer on-device only, to detect when you shake or tilt the phone to draw a fortune stick. Sensor readings are used in the moment for the physics simulation and are never recorded or transmitted.
If you tap “Share”, the App hands the text of your drawn lot to your device’s system share sheet. What happens next is governed by the app you choose to share to; Qiuqian itself sends nothing anywhere.
The App is suitable for general audiences and, because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Privacy laws in various regions (such as GDPR and CCPA) grant rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data. Because Qiuqian holds no data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or port — but you are always welcome to contact us with questions or concerns.
