Jio Music — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-10
The short version. Your music library is read on your device. An account is optional
and only backs up your playlists and settings. AI features send your requests to the AI service you choose, and ads
use the advertising identifier unless you're Premium.
What is on your device
Jio Music reads the music on your device to play it. Your library, playlists, downloads and settings are stored on
the device.
What is sent, and to whom
- Account and backup (optional). If you sign in, your email address and your playlists, favourites
and settings are stored with Supabase so you can restore them.
- Online sources. When you search or stream from online music sources, your searches and the tracks
you play go to those services.
- AI assistant, AI mix and radio. Your messages, and context such as the music you play and your
approximate location if you allow it, are sent to the AI provider selected in Settings (for example Google Gemini,
DeepSeek, Alibaba Qwen, Moonshot Kimi or Anthropic). Voice mode turns speech into text on your device.
- Ads. Free users see ads from Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising identifier.
- Purchases. Premium is billed by Google Play or Apple; we never see your payment details.
- Install source (Android). Once, which link or campaign led to the install, with a random install id.
Jio Music contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
Permissions
- Music and audio files, to play your library.
- Microphone, only for voice mode.
- Approximate location (optional), to give the AI context such as weather or time of day.
Deleting your data
See Delete your account. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.
Children
Jio Music is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
